Handgun safety training class for women offered by FOP Lodge 36, NRA

SOUTH BEND — Women interested in learning more about safely shooting and handling handguns can take a class offered in April.

The National Rifle Association and FOP Lodge 36 are offering the “Women on Target” class starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at the FOP Lodge 36 Home and Range, 25327 S.R. 23, South Bend. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and shooting will begin at noon, according to a news release from the FOP Lodge.

Attendees can bring their own handgun or one will be provided to them. Eye and ear protection will be provided.

The class is $40 due during registration for the class, according to the news release. Space is limited. Anyone interested may pre-register for the class by emailing Sgt. Tom Cameron at tjc448@gmail.com.
