Benton Harbor man killed in shooting early Monday morning

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. — Police are looking for a suspect or suspects after a 32-year-old Benton Harbor man was found shot to death near his home early Monday morning, March 30.

Ronnie Polo Lindsey was found dead laying on the sidewalk near his home in the 900 block of Lavette St. at about 1:15 a.m., according to a news release from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.

Police were called to the area after they received reports of several gunshots heard in the area and several people seen running from where the victim was found.

The sheriff’s department is working with the FBI’s Violent Crimes Task Force, Berrien County Homicide Task Force and Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety to investigate the shooting.
