Spring has sprung as warm temperatures and rainy weather rolls into Michiana

April showers bring May flowers — and it’s already started in northern Indiana.

The rain drizzles you might have heard overnight Monday into Tuesday, April 7, were the first of a few showers that will last through the week, according to the weather report from 95.3 MNC’s news partners, The Elkhart Truth

Tuesday will be breezy and cool with a high in the mid fifties, according to the National Weather Service. There will be spotty showers in the morning that will give way to breaks of sun.

The rain will continue into Wednesday and Thursday, with highs ticking up to the low seventies. Stay alert Wednesday night into Thursday, though — the National Weather Service Northern Indiana warns that a severe weather threat could be on the horizon.

Friday will be a great start to the weekend with the rain clearing out for a few days and temperatures sitting in the mid to high sixties, complete with sunny skies — great weather for the end of spring break for most students in northern Indiana.
