Project: Tornado from ABC 57 aims to teach students about tornado safety

Elementary and middle school students will be learning about tornadoes as part of ABC 57’s Project: Tornado program.

Members of the ABC 57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Team will visit a school every day for the entire month to teach second through sixth grade students about what to do when there is a tornado in the area. Students will receive a Project: Tornado booklet and will be encouraged to talk about tornado safety with their families.

Listen to ABC 57 meteorologist Greg Bobos talk about the project in the clip below. Find out how to sign your school up on ABC 57’s website.
