Police searching for suspect in bank robbery attempt

St. Joseph County Police are searching for the person they say tried to rob the First State Bank branch at Cleveland and Ironwood Roads.

It happened around 4 p.m. on Thursday.

Investigators say the suspect entered the bank and handed the teller a note that demanded cash, according to a report on ABC-57 News.

No one was hurt during the attempt. No weapon was displayed. No money was taken.
