Discounted pet adoptions offered during Pet Week at Humane Society of St. Joseph County

Michiana residents looking to adopt a new pet may want to check out the upcoming Pet Week at the Humane Society of St. Joseph County.

Adoptions fees are reduced to $100 for most dogs and are waived for all cats from Friday, June 5, to Sunday, June 14, according to a news release from the Humane Society. More than 100 dogs, hundreds of cats and many small animals are available for adoption. The adoption center at the Humane Society is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Other events planned during the week include a garage sale from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. June 5 to June 7 and June 12 to June 14. Microchipping is available by appointment for $25 a pet throughout the week.
