RV shipments in May dropped for the first time in 2015

Less RVs were shipped in May than in May 2014, according to figures released from the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association. It’s the first drop in 2015.

Approximately 33,467 new motorhome and travel trailers were shipped in May. That number is down nearly 6 percent from May 2014, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

The May number is also down 12.7 percent from April 2015.

Despite the drop in May, the total number of RVs shipped this year is 6 percent above 2014.
