A South Bend toddler died Saturday afternoon, July 4, after he was found not breathing in the pool at his grandmother’s home in Niles, Mich., on Thursday, July 2.
Marius Criglear died at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, according to a news release from the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office.

It’s unknown how Marius got into the water on July 2. The incident is under investigation.
