A 16-year-old boy was arrested in connection to the August 2014 shooting death of a South Bend man who police say was shot and killed for money.
The teen was charged with felony murder and attempted armed robbery in juvenile court for the death of Francisco Javier Guzman, FOX 28 reported.
Guzman, 22, was shot to death at a home in the 4400 block of Huron Circle in South Bend after two people knocked on the door and asked for his name.
The suspected gunman, Arremone E. Tobar, told police on Wednesday that he was the person who shot Guzman, according to previous 95.3 MNC reporting. Tobar also said that he split money he received for the shooting with an accomplice.

Prosecutors have filed a motion to have the 16-year-old boy’s case moved to adult court, FOX 28 reported. A hearing is set for Aug. 19.
