Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin to be honored during memorial, funeral services in Plymouth

The life of Marshall County Sheriff Tom Chamberlin will be honored this week at memorial services planned in Plymouth.

Chamberlin died at his home Friday night, Aug. 28, after a long battle with cancer. He was diagnosed in November.

The public is invited to visitation services from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home, 1100 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, according to his obituary

An open funeral service is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, at Plymouth Wesleyan Church, 11203 S. Michigan Road, in Plymouth. Burial will follow at New Oak Hill Cemetery.

Community members are also invited to line up along the police-escorted procession from the funeral home, south on Michigan Street and through downtown to the church, according to Chamberlin’s obituary. The procession is expected to begin at 9:15 a.m.

Attendees of the services are asked to bring non-perishable items and monetary gifts to the service to benefit Bread of Life Food Pantry in Plymouth and the Center for Hospice Care in Plymouth.
