BEN’S SOFT PRETZELS RAISING MONEY FOR INTREPID FALLEN HEROES FUND
You can donate to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund at Ben’s Soft Pretzels through the month.
The pretzel bakery is partnering with the organization again this year in hopes of exceeding the $17,000 it raised for the fund earlier this year, 95.3 MNC’s partners at Flavor 574 report.
For a minimum $1 donation, you can add your name to a “battleship” posted outside of the bakeries.
Also for “Pretzeltober,” Ben’s will have deals, including three jumbo soft pretzels and three dipping sauces for $10, Flavor 574 reports. There’s also a happy hour special that includes a $2 jumbo soft pretzel with dip between 2 and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday

RAISE A GLASS TO CELEBRATE ELKHART’S FOUNDER
You can’t clink glasses with Elkhart’s founder, but you can drink to his legacy.
Iechyd Da Brewing Company partnered with Ruthmere Museums to make a unique beer that pays tribute to the city’s founder, Dr. Havilah Beardsley, Flavor 574 reports.
The beer, “Dr. Beardsley’s Amber Ale,” was inspired by the earlier opening of the Beardsley House, fall colors and by using hops from the gardens at Ruthmere, according to Flavor 574.
The ale will be served at Ruthmere’s annual fall concert series, which kicks off Friday, Oct. 9.
