Deme Acres Golf Course in southern Michigan damaged by vandals

SUMMERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — Authorities say vandals damaged signs, uprooted flags and tipped over portable bathrooms at a golf course in southeastern Michigan.

The Monroe News reports the damage at Deme Acres Golf Course in Monroe County’s Summerfield Township happened Sunday night or Monday morning. The course is located about 45 miles southwest of Detroit.

There was no immediate suspect information or a damage cost estimate reported. The Monroe County sheriff’s department is investigating.
