Goshen Redskins mascot replacement finalists chosen by high school, middle school students

The four finalists for the new Goshen High School and Goshen Middle School mascot have been announced.

The finalists are Gladiators, Red Hawks, Spartans and Wolfpack, according to our reporting partners The Elkhart Truth.

The Mascot Selection and Celebration Steering Committee announced the finalists Wednesday morning, Oct. 14, after tallying students’ votes.

Students and alumni who live in the Goshen Community Schools’ district will vote on their final choice for the new mascot the week of Nov. 9. It has not yet been announced how the community votes will take place.

The new mascot will take effect Jan. 1, when the Redskins mascot is retired.
