News/Talk 95.3 Michiana’s News Channel and Martin’s Super Markets are honoring our Hometown Heroes this fall and we’ve chosen our seventh honoree.
Ondrace Malone is a football coach in Elkhart who started the Uprising Stars Flag Football League for kids.He was nominated by Amber Warlick. Here’s what she wrote about him:
“I would like to nominate Ondrace for starting Uprising Stars Flag Football League. His league gives so many children the chance to not only play football but be around adults that want to see them go as far as possible! It’s not only a football league, it’s a family. He has had the league running for 6 years and each year we have grown. Ondrace not only runs the football league but also helps coach for the 8th grade Elkhart West football team. He gives his all to provide a sport for all to be apart of. I know I’m probably missing out on so many more things I could say, but he is a hero for all he does for the kids of the league.”
Thank you for helping kids and being a role model, Ondrace. Congratulations on being named our seventh Hometown Hero!
News/Talk 95.3 MNC has one more hero to name and we’re still accepting submissions. Nominate your Hometown Hero today.
