Girl struck by vehicle, dragged while trick-or-treating

YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) — A 14-year-old Michigan girl has been struck by a vehicle and dragged nearly two miles while trick-or-treating on Halloween.

The Ann Arbor News reports Sunday that the Ypsilanti Township girl was in critical condition at an area hospital.

Authorities found the girl Saturday night along a roadway east of Ann Arbor after responding to a report of a traffic accident involving a pedestrian. They say the girl was initially hit by one vehicle and dragged by a second vehicle.

The accident remains under investigation.
