Michigan woman killed in head-on collision on U.S. 12 on Thursday morning

A 55-year-old woman was killed and a 52-year-old man was injured in a head-on collision on U.S. 12 near Sage Road in Berrien County, Mich., on Thursday morning, Feb. 11.

Luann Woodrick of Galien, Mich., was pronounced dead at a hospital after she was extricated from her vehicle, according to the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department.

The man also was extricated from his vehicle, but he only suffered minor injuries.

Woodrick was driving a vehicle east on U.S. 12 and the man was driving a vehicle west on U.S. 12 at about 6:45 a.m. when one of the vehicles crossed the center line and they collided head-on, the sheriff’s department said.

The crash is under investigation.
