Four students in their early teens were hospitalized after they allegedly overdosed on prescription drugs while aboard an Elkhart Community Schools bus.

The students appeared drowsy and lethargic when they arrived at The Elkhart Academy on Thursday, March 2, around 7:45 a.m., according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

The students had taken an unknown amount of an unknown medication and that one of the students likely took the medication from a relative and gave it to the other three students, according to the Elkhart Police Sgt. Chris Snyder, as reported by The Elkhart Truth.
