Elkhart County farmer killed in farming accident near Bristol

BRISTOL, Ind. (AP) — Authorities say a northern Indiana farmer has died after becoming trapped in a skid loader at his farm.

The Elkhart Sheriff’s Department said 64-year-old David F. Blough was killed Monday afternoon. The sheriff’s department said he was working on the skid loader on his farm north of Bristol when he became trapped in the arms of the machine.

The Elkhart Truth reports that Elkhart County police and Bristol firefighters responded to the scene.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
