Some railroad closings temporarily closed in St. Joseph County on Tuesday

Eight railroad crossings in St. Joseph County will be closed off-and-on Tuesday, March 8, while Norfolk Southern works on the railroad lines.

The crossings, except for Elder, will be re-opened by 7 p.m., according to St. Joseph County Emergency Management.

The crossings are: 

  • Cottage Grove
  • Elder (closed for several weeks)
  • Oakside
  • Kline
  • Delorenzi
  • Beiger
  • Byrkit
  • Merrifield

The closures will be off-and-on throughout the day.
