History buffs in Michiana may want to spend part of their Independence Day weekend checking out planes flown in World War II that are on display at the South Bend International Airport.

The B-29 planes are a major part of WWII history. Tours are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. through July 4 at Atlantic Aviation at the airport, WNDU reported.

Those who take a tour will be able to get inside parts of the plane. Children can go inside the cockpit for free, while children ages 10 to 17 must pay $5 and adults must pay $10.

Children under 10 can go inside the B-29 cockpit for free. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages 10-17

Flights are also available for several planes and can be scheduled online.
