LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan’s tourism officials want people to show off their favorite lake views from the state this summer.

As part of Pure Michigan’s Lake Effect campaign, the state’s tourism promoters have started an online gallery for photos and short videos.

To participate, residents and visitors may share an original photo or video on Instagram, Twitter or Vine and use the hashtag #PureMichiganLakeEffect in their tweet, post or caption. Photos and videos also may be uploaded directly to the campaign’s gallery page.

Submissions will be accepted through Sept. 5. Organizers say videos must be less than 60 seconds in length and can include narration but not music.
