Hope you’ve got your ketchup ready, because Wednesday is National French Fry Day.

The crunchy potato treat is celebrated every year on July 13.

Americans eat about 30 pounds of french fries every year, according to Fox News.

You can thank founding father Thomas Jefferson for bringing the food to America. During his presidency, Jefferson reportedly asked the White House cooks to prepare “potatoes, fried in the French manner.”

Here are a few places where you can score some free fries:

  • Burger King: Order two Whopper meals (two Whoppers, two small drinks and two small fries) for $10 until July 15.
  • IHOP: Get free, unlimited season fries with every burger at IHOP until July 31.
  • McDonald’s: Get a free medium order of fries with the purchase of any large sandwich when you order through McDonald’s mobile app until July 24.
  • Penn Station East Coast SubsGet a small order of fresh cut fries with any size sub sandwich all day on July 13.
