Woman hospitalized after being struck by vehicle in South Bend

A woman was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend after she was hit by a vehicle in South Bend.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, in the River Park neighborhood at Mishawaka Avenue and 36th Street, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

The victim was walking from Murphy’s Backyard Bar and Grill, ABC 57 reported.

The woman was last reported to be in critical condition, according to WNDU.

Mishawaka Avenue was closed from Logan Street to 36th Street while police conducted their investigation.
