Elkhart police searching for armed robbery suspect

An armed robber reportedly got away with money and cigarettes at a convenience store stick-up Saturday night.

The robbery happened shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3 at a BP gas station at 23870 SR 120, according to an Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department press release.

The robber reportedly was armed with a handgun. He stole cigarettes and an undetermined amount of cash before leaving.

The suspect was described as a white male, in his 20’s, wearing a white shirt and black pants.
