Three teens injured in Cass County crash

A teenager had to be airlifted to a hospital after a single-vehicle wreck near the Indiana-Michigan border.

It happened at about 8:45 p.m. Sunday night on Bellows Road north of Idlewild Road in Cass County, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

A 17-year old boy from Edwardsburg reportedly lost control of his vehicle as it went off the road and hit a tree.

He ended up trapped in the vehicle and had to be flown to Elkhart General Hospital after he was extracted. Two passengers, ages 16 and 17, were taken via ambulance to Elkhart General with serious injuries.

The crash is still under investigation.
