Police radio traffic detailing the moments after Amber Pasztor flagged down a police officer last week to show him her two dead children has been released.

The officer was walking across Marion Street from the Elkhart police station to the city parking garage across the street when the Fort Wayne mother pulled up and flagged him down. On the recording, the officer then notified dispatchers he found two children dead in the vehicle.

Pasztor appeared in court on Monday and a judge entered a not guilty to two counts of murder for her. She’ll appear in court with a public defender on Oct. 27.

Elkhart County Prosecutor Curtis Hill said he may seek the death penalty, although he hasn’t decided. Otherwise, Pasztor is facing 45-to-65 years in prison.
