One thing led to another…and then another…and then yet another…and then some more for Elkhart County deputies who only initially pulled over a man for driving without headlights.

31 year-old Kery Samir Pineda-Orellana was the subject of a traffic stop on Hively Avenue and failed a field sobriety test. He had been driving without headlights, according to the Elkhart Truth.

He was driving without ever having held a license and was found to be carrying fake Indiana and Illinois identity cards, as well as Social Security and permanent resident cards.

Pineda-Orellana faces a number of felony and misdemeanor charges for several crimes; including marijuana possession, forgery, false ID and more.

An additional charge of identity deception may be pending.
