Early voting begins in St. Joseph, Elkhart Counties

If you’re ready to cast your ballot for the November election, you can do so in St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties now.

Absentee/early voting in St. Joseph County started Tuesday, according to their website.

Voters can cast their absentee or early ballots at the County/City Building at 227 W. Jefferson Blvd. in South Bend. If you’re in Mishawaka, you can vote early at the County Services Annex at 219 Lincoln Way West. Early voting hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday except for holidays. Offices will also be open the two Saturdays before election day.

If you’re mailing your absentee ballot, applications are due Oct. 31. You can find out more information on mailing absentee ballots here.

In Elkhart County, early voting started Wednesday. There’s polling locations you can go to, according to the Elkhart County Clerk’s office:

  • Goshen – County Administration Building, 117 N. 2nd St., Room 108, Goshen
  • Elkhart – Lincoln Center, 608 Oakland Ave., Elkhart (now on the first floor)
  • Nappanee – First Brethren Church, 1600 N. Main St., Nappanee
  • Middlebury – Town Hall, 418 N. Main St., Middlebury

Hours do vary by location. Also, applications for absentee ballots by mail also end on Oct. 31. Find out more information by going here.
