Police have arrested a possible suspect after a man was found dead at a home in the 900 block of Fuerbringer Street in South Bend.

South Bend Police Department officers were called to the home around 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, after receiving a call about an unconscious male adult in need of medical help, according to a news release from the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the victim dead inside the home.

The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit was contacted because the victim’s injuries did not appear consistent with a natural death, the prosecutor’s officer reported.

The victim has been identified as Ronald L. Bacsa, 62.

An autopsy will be conducted on Tuesday in Kalamazoo, to determine Bacsa’s cause of death.
