Seven months after letting go their last president, Lake Michigan College may be nearing a new one.

The Berrien County college has whittled down the list of candidates for its new college president to four candidates, according to ABC 57:

  1. Dr. Trevor Kubatzke, Vice President of Student Services at Milwaukee Area Technical College.
  2. Dr. Jon Mandrell, Vice President of Student Services at Sauk Valley community college in Illinois.
  3. Dr. Orinthia Montague, Vice President for Student Affairs and Chief Diversity Officer at Normandale Community College in Minnesota.
  4. Dr. Rebekah Woods, Provost of Jackson College in Jackson, Michigan.

These four survived a field of 92 applicants. Each one was picked based on leadership, fiscal management and collaboration skills with local business, government, and K-12 schools.

The final pick is expected in mid-January.
