South Shore Line to bus passengers from South Bend to Michigan City Sunday and Monday

Bitter cold temperatures mean that some South Shore Line customers will be boarding the bus Sunday and Monday.

Passengers will board the bus between the South Bend International Airport and the Carroll Avenue station in Michigan City. The buses will run on the same schedule as the trains and will be used at least through the westbound train No. 14 on Monday, according to South Shore Line officials and the South Bend Tribune.

Bus service will take passengers the South Shore platform at the South Bend International Airport to the Carroll Avenue station. If you want to avoid the buses altogether, you’re encouraged to drive to the Michigan City or Dune Park station.

Sunday’s eastbound trains leaving Michigan city at 5:05 and 6:25 a.m. are being canceled, along with Monday’s 3:30 a.m. eastbound train from Michigan City. Westbound trains from South Bend at 9:05 and 11 p.m. are also being canceled on Monday.
