Elkhart man shot in the leg while walking Sunday

He was walking along West Franklin St. when suddenly, a bullet hit his leg.

The 25-year-old man told Elkhart police he didn’t know who shot him at around 9 p.m. Sunday in the 1300 block of West Franklin St, according to the Elkhart Truth.

Multiple shots were fired, with one of them hitting the man in the leg. The wound is considered non-life threatening, according to the Elkhart Police Department.

The victim drove himself to the hospital for treatment. The only description he has of the shooter is that he was wearing dark clothing.
