Notre Dame may be losing yet another key piece of its coaching staff this offseason.

Wide Receivers Coach and Associate Head Coach Mike Denbrock may be taking the Offensive Coordinator position at the University of Cincinnati, according to Sports Illustrated’s Pete Thamel.

However, another source says that the Denbrock to Cincinnati rumor may be premature as nothing has been finalized.

Denbrock’s 30 year coaching career includes the last six at Notre Dame. In those six years, he’s held multiple titles, including Tight Ends Coach, Outside Wide Receivers Coach, Passing Game Coordinator Coach, Offensive Coordinator, Wide Receivers Coach, and most recently, Associate Head Coach.

He’s also the primary playcaller for the Fighting Irish. If he leaves, that means Head Coach Brian Kelly himself may be calling the plays next season. All three coordinators will have been changed should Denbrock leave.

According to Sports Illustrated’s Pete Thamel, current Wide Receivers Coach and Associate Head Coach, Mike Denbrock is leaving for Cincinnati’s Offensive Coordinator position.
