Michigan City woman reportedly slipping in and out of consciousness arrested in LaPorte

A report of a suspicious person led to an arrest in Michigan City.

The LaPorte Police Department responded to the Dunkin Donuts on Pine Lake Ave. at about 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, according to ABC 57.

When officers arrived, they discovered 26-year-old Kirsten Guillen seated at a table with her head down. Employees said that she was slipping in and out of consciousness the whole time she was there.

Guillen was found to be in the possession of a syringe, which she claimed to officers she was holding for someone else, according to ABC 57.

She’s been charged with unlawful possession of a syringe, which is a Level 6 felony. She also had outstanding warrants for theft and failure to appear on a domestic battery charge, according to police.
