We now know that it was indeed a gunshot wound to the chest that killed a South Bend man in his apartment Thursday morning.

What we don’t know is just exactly what happened before 23-year-old Jovon Hobbs died. Authorities have not released whether it was a homcide, suicide, or accident, according to a press release.

The shooting took place at around 2 a.m. Thursday morning at a Miami Hills apartment. Several witnesses have been interviewed by South Bend police, but no arrests have been made and the case is still under investigation.
