Arrest made in Benton Harbor home invasion and shooting

A Benton Harbor man has been arrested after a home invasion that led to a nearly fatal shooting this week.

Lamarcus Crayton of Benton Harbor is charged with assault with intent to murder, home invasion, possession of firearm by a felon, and weapons felony firearms charges, according to ABC 57.

The shooting happened at a home on the 700 block of McAllister St. shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday morning. Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety officers discovered a 21-year-old man who had been shot in the head, according to ABC 57.

He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
