The wife of a Winona Lake police officer is facing drug charges.

Chayla Foster was arrested last Thursday and was charged with conspiring to distribute or dispense a controlled substance, according to the Times-Union.

In August, a special agent with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Office of Criminal Investigation was looking into a case involving Tramadol, an opioid used for chronic pain. On Aug. 15, the agent tracked a shipment of Tramadol to the residence of Michael and Chayla Foster in Warsaw, according to court documents.

The agent interviewed the couple at their residence. During the interviews, Chayla Foster reportedly admitted that she had been ordering Tramadol without a prescription twice a month for two years.
