A man has been acquitted of both counts of murder in a Goshen double homicide.

An Elkhart Circuit Court Judge found Diego Ramos not guilty in the shooting deaths of Jose Nava-Orozco and Marco Carmona-Gonzalez, last March, at a home in the Brookside Manor Mobile Home Community.

Ramos’s co-defendant, Luis Rivas, originally was charged with two counts of murder, but he pleaded guilty to two lesser charges of assisting a criminal, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at The Elkhart Truth.

Rivas face further charges of obstructing justice for refusing to testify against Ramos during his trial, The Elkhart Truth reported.
