Niles man charged in deadly high speed chase, crash on State Road 933

A Niles man has now been charged in connection with the high speed multi-vehicle crash at State Road 933 and Darden Road in which a man was killed in the midst of a police chase.

39-year-old James Morrison was driving a stolen vehicle and was traveling at a speed of 80 to 100 miles per hour when the collision happened, Tuesday, Feb. 21, killing 62-year-old Andre Northern.

Morrison had heroin in his system at the time of the collision, according to court documents.

He’s been charged with causing death and causing serious bodily injury when operating a vehicle and resisting arrest.
