A man was shot in South Bend Sunday night.

Police officers were called to a possible shooting in the 1700 block of South Taylor Street around 10:30 p.m. Sunday, according to South Bend police.

Officers say they found a man who had been shot in his lower body. He was taken to Memorial Hospital in stable condition. However, he’s also facing pending domestic and aggravated assault felony charges.

While investigating the scene a woman approached the officers and claimed someone had thrown grease on her in what was believed to be a domestic situation. The woman was also taken to Memorial for treatment.
