Kosciusko County residents not fearing the worst out of incoming heavy rain

Heavy rainfall is expected to impact Kosciusko County in the coming days.

However, many residents don’t seem to be too concerned. ABC 57 Chief Meteorologist Tom Coomes believes two to three inches could drop on the Tippecanoe River, which is already high.

One neighbor told ABC 57 that rainfall needs to be at least six inches for neighbors to be on high alert for flooding. It’s an assessment the Kosciusko County Emergency Management Administration seems to agree with. They’re not taking any extra precautions ahead of the rain, but they are offering sandbags at the Highway Department on East Old Road 30.

It’s an assessment the Kosciusko County Office of Emergency Management seems to agree with. They’re not taking any extra precautions ahead of the rain, but they are offering sandbags at the Highway Department at 2936 East Old Road 30 in Warsaw.
