It’s a big merger in Michiana that will affect as many as 1,000 people. However, it’s not a business merger but rather, a soccer merger.

Michiana Echo Soccer Club and Jr. Irish Soccer Club are combining to become the area’s largest youth sports club. In a joint press release, both clubs feel merging will “enhance the soccer experience” for kids in the community.

“By combining forces, the Michiana Echo and Jr. Irish Soccer Clubs can leverage the best of each club to improve the overall soccer experience for each player in our community,” Michiana Echo President Jon Carter stated.

More details will be released next month on when and how the merger will take place.
