FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — Fort Wayne police say a man is dead and a woman has been seriously wounded in a shooting at a beauty college.
Authorities say police received a report around 6:45 p.m. on Monday, June 5, of an active shooter at Ravenscroft Beauty College.
Fort Wayne police spokesman John Chambers says after officers arrived on the scene they secured the premises and searched for the suspect and victims.
One woman was found shot and was taken to the hospital in serious condition but has since been downgraded to critical condition.
Another woman arrived at the hospital suffering from an injury and was last reported to be in good condition.
Witnesses on scene said the shooting may have sparked from a domestic situation, though authorities have said what sparked the incident.
Neither the man found dead nor the two people injured have been identified.
As many as 50 people were inside the building at the time of the shooting.
