A 27-year-old man was stabbed in the face and back, and police believe they have the man who did it.

Elkhart County deputies went to the 51000 block of S.R. 19 at about 10 p.m. Saturday on reports of a stabbing. By the time they arrived, everyone involved had left.

The victim reportedly met an ambulance in the Flippin’ Cow restaurant parking lot for treatment of his knife wounds.

Not long after catching up with the victim, officers found the suspect, 31-year-old Edwardo Brena, walking in the parking lot.

Brena was booked into the Elkhart County jail, charged with attempted murder
