It’s one year probation for a Notre Dame wide receiver who was with four other football players caught with marijuana and a gun when they were pulled over by Indiana State Police in Fulton County, last August.

Charges will be dropped against Kevin Stepherson if he stays clean and out of trouble for an entire year. As part of his conditional discharge program, Stepherson will have to submit to urine samples and take part in a drug and alcohol program.

The five were arrested Aug. 19 after their car was stopped for speeding and an improper taillight. Police say they found two bags of marijuana.

Max Redfield, who was kicked off the team after the arrest, was given a suspended jail sentence and has entered drug treatment. Devin Butler pleaded guilty to resisting arrest and is transferring to Syracuse. Dexter Williams and Ashton White were given one year probation.
