Fire doused on N. Johnson Street in South Bend

There were no injuries after a fire that started in a garage spread to the home.

Crews were called to the home in the 1200 block of of N. Johnson Street in South Bend around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 25.

The homeowner said the fire could have been started by some people who were setting off fireworks in an alley behind the garage, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

Fire investigators haven’t yet ruled on a cause.
