Around 3 a.m. Monday, the Steuben County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to US 20 east of County Road 850 E on reports of a Jeep that had caught on fire.

Upon arrival, deputies found a white 2012 Jeep Compass fully engulfed in flames.

34-year-old Jennifer L. McGaha of South Bend was driving the Jeep when it struck a 2007 Freightliner head-on.

An investigation revealed McGaha drove left of center on US 20, colliding with the semi in the center of the roadway.

McGaha was transported to Cameron Hospital by Steuben County EMS, and was treated and released to the Steuben County Jail.

McGaha was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated.
