Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for parts of listening area until 5 p.m.

Some severe weather is expected for parts of the listening area Friday afternoon.

The National Weather Service of Northern Indiana has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 5pm for most of northeast Indiana, including Fulton, Kosciusko, LaGrange, and Noble Counties.

The NWS says conditions are favorable for severe thunderstorm development, with the main threats being damaging winds, small hail and frequent lightning.
