Indiana, Michigan both rank in top 15 in “America’s Top States for Business” list

A nationwide study says Indiana and Michigan are two of the better states to do business in.

Indiana ranks 14th on this year’s “America’s Top States for Business” list, compiled by CNBC, which ranks each state on metrics like workforce and the cost of doing business. Michigan placed slightly higher than Indiana at 11th.

The Hoosier State is up two rankings from last year, with its best ratings coming in cost of living, cost of doing business, and infrastructure, although Inside Indiana Business reports Indiana did dip slightly in those categories from last year.

The top state was Washington, and the worst was West Virginia. Ohio ranked 16th.
