Five more women are accusing three guards at the Berrien County Jail of abusing them.
Two other groups of former inmates, 14 women in total, have already made similar claims against the guards at the facility.
ABC 57 reports that the latest suit was filed on Monday, and one of the newly-named accused is a survivor of the Courthouse shooting incident, James Atterberry.
Sheriff Paul Bailey says all three of the officers in question – Atterberry, Otis Clark and Megan Kuntz – are still employed at the jail. They are accused of requesting sexual favors and other forms of sexual assault.
The latest lawsuit also names former deputies John McCoy and Brett McGrew, who are accused of similar wrongdoing. The women seek $300,000 in damages.

I have a story I could share about the treatment I received in the jail. I am not a woman but I do feel my rights were violated. I believe I was subjected to cruel and unusual punishment, my medical needs were delayed, and I was not provided a proper diet. The jail in Berrien County reminded me of a medieval dungeon.
